At E.A.T., we are guided by five key pillars, each designed to address critical areas in the lives of underserved youth and families.
Our 5 Pillars of Impact:
Mentorship: Offering one-on-one and group mentorship that empowers youth to grow into leaders with confidence and purpose. Mentorship panels and life skills workshops inspire youth to pursue their dreams.
Education & Arts: We provide STEM education programs, GED preparation, after-school tutoring, and art therapy that foster intellectual and creative growth. Our Education in the Arts program, in collaboration with renowned artist Jubeanski, brings art therapy and mural painting to local youth, providing both personal expression and cultural enrichment.
Health & Wellness: From swim safety lessons to CPR training, mental health support, and nutrition education, we are committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles. Our Swim Scholarship Program is a key part of this initiative, providing free swim lessons to children who may not otherwise have access.
Financial Empowerment: We teach financial literacy to youth and families, equipping them with the knowledge to manage their finances, build wealth, and secure a brighter future. We also offer job readiness training and small business support to foster financial independence.
Community Outreach: E.A.T. supports the community through seasonal food and toy drives, homeless support, and hygiene kits, ensuring that no one is left behind. Our community-driven events, such as our annual Thanksgiving Drive and Toy Drive, help provide essential services and support to families in need.
The E.A.T. Swim Scholarship Program provides free, lifesaving swim lessons to children in underserved communities. This program is designed to reduce the risk of drowning, particularly among minority children, who are disproportionately affected by water-related accidents. Over 300 children participated last year, and this year, we aim to expand that number to 1,000.
Drowning is a leading cause of death for children in the U.S. Florida, in particular, has one of the highest rates of child drownings in the nation. This initiative is part of our broader effort to provide every child with the tools to be safe in and around water.
